The 2020 Christmas has been very busy for Tetralaterados team. With a tight deadline on January, the team needed to demonstrate the feasibility of their idea which involved real hardware and tests on the field. Despite all these setbacks and difficulties the team managed to perform all needed activities to achieve successful results and a working prototype.
After being awarded with a place in the My Galileo Solution Track 1 finals the our team made a plan to be able to demonstrate the solution within a month, what involved planning purchases of hardware, design, software implementation, hardware assembly and field testing.
Field testing was difficult for a lot of reasons: Cold, lead time of hardware components in Christmas period, hardware assembly, COVID-19 mobility restrictions and more. However none of these setbacks stopped our team members in their goal to demonstrate the feasibility of the project.
Despite all difficulties and challenges the team managed to build the prototype, and make several tests, the last of them providing promising results being able to triangulate the radio source used for testing.
From now on we will be focused on the final stage of the contest, preparing deliverables and working on the business plan!
